Technologies developed by aerospace engineers are used in aviation, defense and space exploration, giving you various career paths to choose from

The B. Tech (Aerospace Engineering) course at Amity University Dubai gives students a sound understanding of the design, construction, and study of the science behind the forces and physical properties of aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) rockets and flying crafts. With access to one of the most advanced high-tech Aerospace labs equipped with a turbo jet engine, Armfield c15-10 wind tunnel and fully functional scaled models of aircraft reciprocating engines our students gain first-hand experience of what they can expect in their careers

Our various labs provide students with great insight into the field of Aerospace Engineering by giving them first-hand experience of what they can expect in their future careers.

The Propulsion Lab allows the R&D for Gas Turbine Engine through the high end Mini Gas Turbine equipment.

In the lab you’ll find:

  • Various piston engine models and gas turbine models
  • Impulse and reaction turbine benches

The Aerodynamics Laboratory features:

  • A vortex apparatus
  • A 2.20 m long wind tunnel capable of producing air velocities between 1 and 35 m/s
  • Two-component dynamometer with digital force display
  • Velocity meter
  • Smoke generator
  • X-y traversing boundary layer
  • Pitot-static tube probes A 10 port pressure transducer
  • A/D readout meter display with signal conditioners
  • A calibration set

The Vibration Laboratory includes:

  • The Universal Vibration Apparatus
  • Slipping Friction Apparatus
  • Whirling of Shaft apparatus
  • Vibro-Viscometer
  • The labs include a polariscope, which demonstrates the effects of stress in photoelastic material.

How does this benefit the students?
These instruments provide students with insight into the phenomenon of resonance, influence of damping and phase relationships. The aircraft structure lab features Advanced Beam Testing Apparatus which helps students understand the behaviour of beams and bars used in aircraft with various loading and end conditions.

  • Students from all curriculua must have studied higher level Physics, Chemistry and Maths. 
  • A minimum 50% aggregate in CBSE grades X & XII with a minimum of 60% in PCM, or the equivalent from alternative schools, is required.
