The Experience
As a student in this online Manufacturing Technology program, you can choose one of three concentration options: management, information systems or manufacturing specialist (you can transfer 12 industry related credits into the manufacturing specialty concentration). You will get the unique experience of hands-on learning in an online environment. For example, in one course you will receive a kit of measurement instruments and lab instructions to learn metrology skills.
Through your coursework in this program, you will learn to be a productive member of a manufacturing team, focusing on manufacturing processes, basic CAD drawing, information systems technology, environmental health and safety and business management practices. In your final course, you will complete a capstone project where you can apply your skills to solve a real-world problem.
The Results
As a graduate of the Trine University B.S. in Manufacturing program, you will be able to provide support and technical assistance throughout the manufacturing and design process. By applying the leadership and management skills you gain in this major, you will be able to assume leadership roles to move the manufacturing team forward.
